Ingredients for Waffles:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 30g freeze-dried Pisang Mas Banana, powdered
  • 1 tsp homemade vanilla extract
  • Butter for cooking

Fruit Topping Ingredients:

  • 10g freeze-dried MD2 Pineapple, rehydrated
  • 10g freeze-dried Susu Mango, rehydrated
  • 10g freeze-dried Red Dragon Fruit, rehydrated
  • 1 tsp homemade vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and freeze-dried Pisang Mas Banana powder.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron and brush with butter.
  5. Pour enough batter to cover the waffle iron surface, close the lid, and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden and crisp.
  6. For the fruit topping, combine the rehydrated fruits, vanilla extract, and water in a small saucepan. Heat gently until warm and slightly syrupy.
  7. Serve the waffles topped with the warm fruit mixture.
