Welcome to Our World of Fresh, Exotic Produce
Nestled amidst the lush landscapes of New Zealand, our family's passion for vibrant and exotic flavours has blossomed into a thriving business, cultivating a diverse range of herbs, spices, and rare exotic fruits essential for authentic Asian cuisine and beyond. With over 30 years of heritage in running a successful food making business we have been fortunate to grow up in an orchard where culinary arts and botanical expertise form the roots of our family's legacy.
Our journey into the world of exotic edibles began in our family kitchen, where my mother expertly crafted everything from scratch—from rich pastes and aromatic powders to meticulously dried and pickled delights. My father, a skilled botanist, nurtured magnificent fruit trees that were more than just plants; they were a testament to his dedication and love for horticulture. This profound legacy, combined with my own fervour for growing exotic plants, has led me far from home, yet deeply rooted in the traditions that shaped my early culinary experiences.
Within our orchard in New Zealand, we are blessed with fertile volcanic soil and over 50 tunnel houses, enabling us to cultivate everything from lush turmeric leaves—which infuse an intense flavour into dishes without altering their colour—to plump lemongrass and robust galangal amongst other things. While many may favour the common uses of turmeric, we delve deeper, utilising parts of the plant that bring forth an extraordinary essence to our cooking.
Our expansive 15-acre land is continuously flourishing with various herbs, spices, and tropical fruit trees. As we look to the future, our ambitions are set on expanding our operations to meet the growing demand for fresh, authentic Asian ingredients, both at retail and wholesale levels. Committed to sustainability and health, our produce is spray-free, ensuring that what we grow not only tastes good but also benefits the environment and our community. Join us as we bring the zest of Asia, grown in the rich soils of New Zealand, directly to your kitchen.
